I finished the rainbow socks for Britt and I also made a scarf for her. She wanted a super long one. I made the one from the Purl Stitch book, it's the one on the back cover. I can't remember what it is called at the moment. I took a picture of it and will post as soon as I can. It reaches the floor on both sides when I have it on and if I wrap it around once, it still hangs way past my knees. I'm also working on some felted clog slippers for my nieces for either b-day or Christmas gifts. I'm almost finished with the first pair. I'm accenting them with fuzzy eyelash trim around the top. I'm making one pair in pink and purple and the other in dark and light blue with the same multi color eyelash trim on both. I can't believe how quickly they are working up. I started a pair of gray socks. I thought I'd try DPN's this time to see which method I like better. I went to my LYS and got some bamboo needles. The owner of the store was there and recommend the bamboo. She spoke limited english, much better than my limited german. She was telling me her neighbor is American and she couldn't remember the word for knits. She said she couldn't believe the prices for yarn in the states as related to her by the neighbor. She kept trying to say Rowan but it was coming out roving, I thought she was talking about fleeces at first and then I realized what she meant. She has lots of Lana Grossa yarns as well as a wide variety of sock yarns. She carries the Inox and Addi needles. I told her how much those go for online and she just couldn't believe it. I bought a couple more sock yarns along with some needles. I'd better get to work now.
