We visited a local castle garden. I work in the town of Schwetzingen, just a few miles from Heidelberg. The summer palace with a huge formal garden is located there. We took a stroll through about 1/2 of it. I plan on going back later in the season when the trees will be filled out and more flowers will be blooming. It was still beautiful this early in the season. The ariel shot I got from this website, ( http://www.schloesser-magazin.de/eng/objekte/schw/schw_gartene.php ) just to give you an idea of the size. This isn't even the full garden. All the other pictures I took. Next time I go, I'll have to buy a book at the gift shop to get more info about the history of the palace and gardens.
