Have you seen the cool new needles at Knit Picks? I just popped in to see what the pattern I ordered was called and it's on the home pape. They have a metal needle set called Options, like the Denise (I love my Denise set, I've had them about 18 years. The price tag is still on them ~ $24.50!) and also circulars and DPN's. They remind me of Addi's. I might order a pair to check them out. How easily I get distracted.
Here’s my preliminary list of take along knitting, it is of course, subject to change over the next few days:
- Koigu for a Clapotis
- Elizabeth bag ~ partially completed, more yarn ready and waiting in TX
- Trellis scarf ~ Alpaca Cloud (Knit Picks) pattern from the Spring 2006 Interweave Knits
- Ladder yarn for scarves
- Kid silk haze in Meadow for Kiri
- Braids cardigan in blue wool
- various sock yarns
- Lion Brand Microspun for (TBA)
- Plus I ordered yarn and the pattern for The Florida Bag
- Kid silk haze scarf kit in blue
I think this should keep me busy for awhile. I think I need to start working through my stash. I probably won't have a very big place once I move and my daughter is reclaiming her chest of drawers that I've been using to house the stash. Not to mention I'll be unemployed and on a strict budget. I would like to pick up a little more sock yarn before I leave, my favorite LYS is on summer hours now and she's only open in the mornings. Makes it hard to get by there when you work full-time. I should check my Addi inventory and see if I need to pick up any of those as well. If the moving guy gets done in time tomorrow, maybe I can swing by on my way to work. He's coming to see how many boxes they will need next week.
Two weeks from tomorrow and I’ll be on my way back home. The weather has been hot and it rained last night and off and on today so now it’s muggy. Ugh. I spent yesterday afternoon cleaning out my little storage area. It’s amazing how much stuff I had crammed in that 3’x10’ area. I was exhausted and sweaty when I sat down at 10 pm to sort through a stack of books and magazines. Now I have a safe place to start stashing the things I don’t want packed next week. I'll be back at it tonight maybe working in my daughter's room and rediscovering more forgotten crafty goodness. I'm trying to decide if I want to mail my sewing machine ahead of time. I'll have to see if I still have the original box.
That's all for now.
